2008 GI Bill Passes the Senate – will Bush Veto?

The 2008 GI Bill passed the Senate today and is on its way to the President? Did you know that all the opposing votes were from Republicans – 22 total. I thought the Republicans supported our troops. Why don’t the republicans want to support the troops after they have defended us in this so called “war on terror”? In addition, there we three “no votes”. These came from Kennedy who was recently released from the hospital after a seizure and a diagnosis of a malignant brain tumor. The other two were republicans Coburn (OK) and McCain (AZ).

  1. Just a minor correction: McCain is from Arizona (AZ) not Arkansas (AR).
